Small Groups
The purpose for small groups at Shively Baptist church is to help fulfill the Great Commission by involving people in small groups for spiritual growth, mutual encouragement, discipleship and sharing the Gospel. Our small groups will meet in homes, at the church or anywhere we can gather in the Lord’s name. Each meeting will be driven by the five purposes of the church.
- Worship – Coming together in small groups to praise the Lord and give thanks for His goodness.
- Fellowship – Sharing with other members of the body of Christ for the purpose of edification and accountability.
- Discipleship – Training one another for the purpose of Christian service.
- Ministry – Using the spiritual gifts that God has given each person to serve others.
- Evangelism – Sharing the Gospel with our friends and neighbors, inviting them to our small groups and leading them to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
